Terms of Service

1. Who may play

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms.

Your account is personal. Keep your password secret: you are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at legal@quizvasion.com if you think someone else has used it.

Anyone who meets these conditions may play for free. Purchases are available only to people who live in the United States (see the Purchase Terms).

2. The game

QuizVasion is a trivia and strategy game. We may change, add or remove features, questions, modes, prices and game balance at any time to keep the game working and fair.

We check questions with care, but some may contain mistakes. You can report a question from the game.

3. Fair play and conduct

You agree not to:

• cheat, including bots, scripts, automated answering, outside help during online wars, several accounts for one person, colluding with other players or exploiting bugs;
• harass, threaten or insult other players, or choose a handle that is offensive, misleading or impersonates someone (including our staff);
• attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the Service, or access accounts or data that are not yours;
• use the Service for anything unlawful.

The Community Rules explain these rules in more detail.

4. Moderation and appeals

If you break these terms, the Community Rules or the law, we may warn you, hide your name from leaderboards, require you to choose a new handle, suspend your account for a time or close it. We may also hide or remove questions and other content.

We tell you the reason for each measure in the game or by message, unless the law forbids it. You can contest any decision within 6 months by writing to legal@quizvasion.com. A person, not an automated system, will review your appeal and answer you.

If you live in the European Union, you may also use an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the Digital Services Act, or go to court.

5. Virtual items and currencies

Soldă (the coins you earn), diamonds, cosmetics, ranks, experience, ratings and other virtual items are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use within the game. They are not your property, have no monetary value and cannot be sold, traded, transferred or exchanged for money.

Purchases with real value are covered by the Purchase Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The game, its art, texts, questions and code belong to us or to our licensors. You may share the profile banners the game offers you (for example as a forum signature).

You allow us to show your handle, portrait, rank and game statistics in the game, on leaderboards, on public profiles and in profile banners.

7. Availability

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and we may pause it for maintenance.

If we close the Service for good, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance and stop selling paid items when we announce it.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for the loss of virtual items, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may close your account under section 4, or after we announce the end of the Service under section 7.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will announce important changes in the game at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account; if you keep playing after it takes effect, the new terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

If you are a consumer living in the European Union or in another country whose law gives you protections that cannot be waived by contract, those protections still apply to you, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country.
